Logistics Officer

The Logistics Officer will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the transportation, distribution, and storage of goods and materials. The individual will ensure that supply chain processes run smoothly, deliveries are timely, and inventory levels are properly maintained. 

Job Description

a) Logistics Planning and Coordination:

•  Develop and implement logistics strategies for efficient transportation and distribution.

• Maintain and monitor inventory levels to ensure availability of essential materials.

b) Supply Chain Management:

• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and transport companies to ensure timely delivery.

• Optimize supply chain processes to minimize delays and cost inefficiencies.

c) Compliance and Documentation:

• Ensure all logistics activities comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

• Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and logistics expenses.

d) Problem Resolution and Performance Monitoring:

• Address logistics challenges and find proactive solutions to enhance efficiency.

• Monitor key logistics performance metrics and provide reports on improvements.

Recommended skills: Strong understanding of supply chain logistics, vendor management, and inventory control.

Minimum Education: HND, or BSc in Science, Arts, Social Science, or related fields

Experience Profile: Must possess a minimum of 2-3 years working experience in a related field, with experience in supply chain operations, inventory management, and vendor coordination.
